CHRIS GETHARD'S MAGIC BUS OF HAUNTED STORIES →
Did you know that the tri-state area is filled with creepy, haunted, bizarre, and terrifying places? Well, it is! You can’t throw a stone from Manhattan to Westchester to Jersey without hitting a freaky ass place that’s the home of a monster, ghoul, or ghost. And UCB performer Chris Gethard knows about all of them from his days spent as the associate editor at Weird NJ magazine and the author of Weird NY (see www.weirdnj.com for more info).
Chris wasn’t just a writer during his days at the Weird empire. He also did things like: go to Virginia to look for an ax wielding man dressed as a rabbit in the woods, infiltrate an iron door covered Nazi hideout on the side of a mountain in New Jersey, and get into a car chase with Satan worshippers in North Massapequa, Long Island. He’s been held at gunpoint twice during his weird explorations - once by an irate lunatic in the basement of an abandoned home for wayward boys, and once by the CIA (no joke!)
Now he’d like to share this fun with you! Come along for a ride on Chris Gethard’s Magic Bus of Haunted Stories. Back in March, Chris took 60 people on a tour of New Jersey so they could check out sites from his bizarre life. Now the old gang (Chris, Purnell, and America’s favorite driver, Wain!) are back together again and hitting the road to show you some of the freakiest places the New York Metropolitan a rea has to offer.
On top of that, look for special activities and guests to help you kick off your Halloween week right!
Participants will be invited to share their own true life tales of terror. Best stories will win the respect of your peers, the cheesiest will be openly booed and mocked.
